My entire life has been about fitness. I’ve never known anything else, and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

I first dipped my foot into fitness at the age of two, when I began gymnastics at the K-W Gymnastics Club. I'd gotten used to the taste of success at a young age and I traveled across Ontario and attended lots of training camps and won a lot of titles. I was even set to attend the 1988 Seoul Olympic trials, but that changed when I was in the middle of a full twisting layout. I’ll never forget that. I landed half on the landing mat and half on the floor, and I heard my ankle snap while Mellow Yellow was playing in the background.

After missing that window of opportunity, I had to change my course of action. I started weight training while I was in my early teens. I would go into my school’s football gym and start playing around with the weights, and eventually I entered a bench press contest and won. I soon realized, that I really had a passion for the way the body works and all the things you could do to improve and change your body.

I decided to still pursue gymnastics, even if it meant being off the floor. Since I couldn’t compete, I put forth what I knew and used my experiences to teach. I attended Ryerson University, where I studied fitness and earned my degree in Personal Training and Fitness Consulting, as well as my personal coaching certificates. I taught for 11 years, and then decided it was time to move on again.

I took up fitness, where I had planned on training and entering shows. My first show was only two weeks away when I got into a car accident. I sustained internal injuries, damaged my right shoulder and left hip, broke my scaphoid, and was left with whiplash and slingjaw. It was my background in weight training and fitness that saved my life, and it was my family and my close friends that helped me get through it. It took me about a year to recover, so I was unable to hit the gym really hard, and for a third time my career plans were altered.

I continued with physiotherapy and weight training, but I took it slow. This time I decided to persevere and really push through to my dream. I went back to my roots in weight training and took up bodybuilding, and I've come so far with it.

I decided to enter my first bodybuilding competition in September 2003 where I finished second place in the

lightweight class. I than competed in November, 2003 in London, for my Level 2. I placed first in the lightweight class at this competition, where I was also awarded best poser.

My first-place winning resulted in sponsorship by a supplement company called Health Body Services Allmax. Being sponsored by them allows me to really get out there more and compete in more shows, which I am incredibly grateful for.

In July 2004, I won the middleweight category with a competing weight of 122 pounds in the Ontario Level 3 competition. I also received the Women's Ontario Best Overall award.

In September 2005, in Montreal. I won second place in all of Canada for women's middleweight bodybuilding at the Canadian Women's Bodybuilding Nationals, and first place overall for posing.

In 2005 SXE FX Designs, a competition swim suite Company sponsored me. I also got sponsorships from Sun Magic Tanning Salon. Also Salon Chic Hair Salon.

The closer an event is, the harder and more frequently I train. My preparatory competition training schedule includes weight-training, cardio workouts and posing sessions seven days a week, along with a very strict diet that I maintain for four months. I tan to keep a healthy glow about me, and I try and get as much rest as I can to keep my body in the utmost condition. I also practice mental exercises such as meditation, listening to soothing music and burning incense. It keeps me grounded, helps me to concentrate better and to focus more on the goal at hand.

This is my passion, my everything. I plan on doing it for the rest of my life. It is and always will be my first love. This is my life style that I love.

Peace love and happiness to everyone. If you have a dream then work to ward’s it and work hard to get it only you can make it happen. It’s all about how bad you want something in life.
